THERE IS NO CLOCK IN FATHERHOOD

There is no clock
in fatherhood.
In spite of all
the wasted chances,
failures to connect,
signals missed
or misinterpreted,
the injuries,
pride sent sprawling,
strong words said
or those held back,
the sweet lure of
simply sitting it out,
remember this:
there is still time.
