THE POETRY OF THE GAME

WHAT WOULD HONUS DO?

July 2, 2017 by bardpoems

A Honus Wagner
1909 baseball card
sold for 2.8 million
If the buyer
were a real
baseball fan
he would have
bought tickets
for 280,000 kids
and handed out
280,000 hot dogs
plus sodas.
Meanwhile the card
collects dust.
