In center field
The skies open
Rain pours
I run in
And stop
Soaked anyway
I look at the stands
Fans scurry for cover
And suddenly I am happy
Standing in the rain
Not worried about contract talks
I wave at a kid standing
By the third base line
He grins and waves back
And I jog to the dugout
The rain drenches me
But I am grateful for all I am
Blessed with
