THE POETRY OF THE GAME

I MAKE MY LIVING

June 30, 2017 by bardpoems

I am stealing
Myself
A living
In war
The enemy
Picks you off
But I won’t be
Picked off
Drift off first
One two three steps
Cross over
Dive back
Then I go
Avoid the bullet
The catcher fires
It’s okay
I am safe
Because I steal
For a living
