Bob Uecker R. I. P.

An awfully charismatic and versatile man.
A former catcher, actor and broadcaster.
Such tremendous versatility espoused by Mr Uecker.
Hollywood called him to be a character for ABC’s Mr Belvedere.

He was a fortunate backup for the late Tim McCarver,
Saw the promised land as the Cardinals beat the NY Yankees in seven games in the 1964 World Series.
A prankster and he once played a Tuba during batting practice.
Uecker was performing play calling in Major League, a 1997 film.

He announced the Milwaukee Brewers games.
Colorful,plainspoken and mastered adjectives.
He was a riot during the 1982 Brewers run to the World Series.
It was fun listening to WTMJ Milwaukee that carried Mr Uecker.

He was the Brew Crew and enjoyed calling their successes.
Mr Uecker will be missed throughout the annals of baseball.
He was an elaborate broadcaster and an interesting player.
Rest in peace Bob.
