I love the name of the pitch in French:
le papillon – butterfly Perfect
I didn’t use it to augment my other stuff
or take it up in desperation after losing my stuff;
from a young age the knuckleball was my stuff
Scouts then as now wanted to see the fastball,
so it took me a long time to make the majors
But when I did, I had a long career
and was as effective as anyone ever;
yet still, few commit to throwing the knuckler
Probably because of what the scouts want to see
