MY FAVORITE THINGS

Batters who bat, pitchers who pitch,
New owners who are incredibly rich,
Outfielders whose feet are tied with wings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Ace on the mound with a low e.r.a.,
Players who execute a quick double play,
A player who eschews a neck full of bling,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Home run hitter coming to bat,
The lady won’t sing, the one who’s fat,
Dreams of acquiring a World Series ring,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Hot dog vendors, then there is beer,
A reliever comes in; we all loudly cheer,
A pitcher so wily, his ball on a string,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the fans yell,
When the rafters ring,
When I’m feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don’t feel so bad.
