And the word was Baseball
And God built Yankee Stadium
And Ebbets Field and the Polo Grounds
He saw that it was good and so
He built Wrigley Field and Fenway Park
And then God said “Let there be baseball”
And there was and He saw that it was good
And then God said “Let there be lights”
And there were lights everywhere
Except in Wrigley Field and
God was angry and the Cubs
Were doomed to never win
A pennant for countless years
But after 100 years God
Relented and said once again
“Let there be lights” and there
Were lights, even in Wrigley Field
God saw that it was good
And the Cubs won the pennant
