we seen ’em in this league
Jake here throws a curve
the ball looks like
hit’s
taking a train for Springfield.
Take that Lofgren,
half the family on the team,
his fastball don’t hardly dent a glove
but he can hit it a mile.
Got our own field at the park,
new uniforms too,
we play any team
even semi-pro ones
and we don’t get no money for it,
just a little extra on side bets.
When we got no games
we practice three, four nights a week.
After standing at a machine all day
we come out, drink a little
then shag some flies.
