BASEBALL BARD

THE POETRY OF THE GAME

SAFE AT HOME

June 21, 2017 by bardpoems

It’s Little League time.
My grandson is uniformed
and eager.
I look for
My image
In his stance, swing, and throw
Adrenalin rush
As I behold
His slide into home
His triumphant smile emerges
From a cloud of dust
Good –
He likes to get dirty!
