The tough part
Is not pulling a pitcher
picking a pinch hitter
dealing with injuries
putting up with critics
long road trips
when you
don’t see your kids
for weeks
The tough part is releasing
a player
who sits there
and has no options
but has a wife
and two kids
and I have to tell him
his career is over.
